Registration NOW OPEN for 2024 Season

Registration is now open for the Spring 2024 Tierrasanta Trojans Lacrosse Club. 

Below is basic information about the team and registering your athlete.

We will continue our membership in the SDYLA (San Diego Youth Lacrosse Association) League and will play 12 games in Spring 2024.

1. Coaching Staff 

• All coaches, coaches assistants, and upper-class High School players have great knowledge of lacrosse and how to teach your kids to play the game
• There will be a minimum of 2 coaches at each practice along with experienced upperclassmen High School players to instruct your rising middle school athlete

2. Practices

• Off-season workouts begin Oct and go through January
• Season starts in March and goes through early May 
• Currently working with the HS team schedule to find the best practice times for both teams
• Expect 3 practice days per week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays)
  • Tues & Thurs – Strength and Conditioning Field Workouts
    • Any strength and conditioning that is moved indoors will require a personal mask, personal towel, and personal bottle of Water.
    • Most Field workouts will be held either on the upper grass field OR Black Top Area (Outdoor Basketball courts)
• Wednesdays -Wall Ball Practice Catching and Throwing Sessions
  • Wall Ball is held at the racquetball walls behind the main HS Gym & Tennis Courts

• Weekday workout sessions will be held between 4:15pm-6:00pm during the Fall & Winter Seasons
• Select Saturday workout times will be variable (dates and times TBD)
• Most practices will be held at grass fields behind Canyon Hills High School

3. Games

• SDYLA middle school league, 12 games
• Home games at Canyon Hills High School
• Most games are on Saturdays with a few during the week if rescheduled for a rain delay.
• We will be using youth rules to reduce body contact and injury and to allow for size disparity between players

4. Registration

• Registration Payment Rates for this 2024 season are currently being recalculated.
  **We are working to adjust this year’s pricing based on sponsorship & donations to the program. Please bear with us.**
  • This includes Uniforms (Jersey and shorts, Practice Pinnie) and Full Field Equipment and bag

(Cleats, Safety cups/girdle, mouthpieces NOT INCLUDED) 

• Payments are payable through the TierrasantaTrojans.org payment center portal
  (NO CASH OR CHECKS)
• Fees include team uniforms, coach stipends, practices, practice equipment, league dues, and field costs

5. US Lacrosse Membership & Insurance

• Every player is required to be a registered member with US Lacrosse for Insurance and Liability.
• US Lacrosse to register for membership costs $30 for youth players for an entire year
• Tierrasanta Lacrosse will receive a group number to register with US Lacrosse.

6. Parent Volunteers

Every parent will be required to volunteer for at least two games.
Positions include:

• Assistant Coaching
• Scorekeeping
• Timekeeping
• Spotter/Airhorn
• Stat Book Keeper
• Team Photographer / Social Media

We will also need an administrative board to ensure the longevity and growth of the program.
